Waste
Waste avoidance takes top priority. In case this should not be possible in exceptional cases any waste materials are separated by material types: paper, plastics, metal. For this purpose specific collecting containers are provided in all production areas. Any relating information is posted at these points and our employees are continuously informed or trained on new rules and regulations. Compliance with requirements and standards is regularly checked during internal audits.
Waste disposal
Only certified specialist waste management companies are commissioned with the disposal of potential recyclables.
Preservation of resources
The innovation management and environmental management departments at PRUFREX usually opt for the most resource-preserving methods for all departments as far as planning and investments are concerned. This includes windows in accordance with current standards, waste heat recovery in compressors and feeding-in of the same into the heating system as well as using returnable packaging with customers and suppliers.
Our material purchasing and our development department are jointly aiming at manufacturing products whose down-cycling factor is as low as possible. To achieve this goal we stay in close contact with our suppliers in order to ensure that we always use those materials with the lowest loss in value within the recovered substance cycle. As a matter of course our development engineers have long since committed themselves to the planning and engineering of recyclable products. Our quality management is engaged with regular inspections to ensure the resource efficiency of our developments and products.
PRUFREX has been certified in accordance with ISO 9001:2008 by the LGA Inter Cert in the field of integrated management systems and in accordance with ISO 14001:2004 relating to international environmental management norms.
