Ignition transformers and ignition coils

The term ignition transformer is usually used in the context of capacitor systems, the term ignition coil is used in connection with transistorized ignition systems. In general, high-voltage transmission units consist of a primary and a secondary coil with iron core.

WZ 48/57

WZ48/57 is an ignition transformer for two cylinders equipped with a primary and high-voltage terminal via plug contacts and a closed ferrite core.

1. Primary coil
