Transistor ignition systems / ignition modules according to ignition coil principle
Usually the electronically-operated switch of magneto ignitions or inductive ignition systems opens and shuts at maximum primary current. That is why transistor ignition systems usually require no or only slight adjustments of the ignition timing. Depending on the individual design the diameter of the flywheel may vary according to engine-type.
