The aim behind the call for funding applications is to reduce of the use of critical raw materials such as iridium and ruthenium in the electrodes of electrolysis stacks. This would make it possible to lower costs and reduce the impact on the environment caused by the extraction of the raw materials currently used. Ultimately, the efficiency as well as functionality of the electrolysis stack is to be shown and evaluated using a demonstrator.
In the context of Horizon 2020 PRÜFREX has the opportunity to contribute to a low-carbon future. Here PRÜFREX is involved in the “demonstrator set up“ work package together with three other partners from other European countries. The work package comprises the construction of an electrolysis demonstrator as well as its functionality.
We are proud to have the opportunity to participate in this project and are very much looking forward to working together with our research and innovation partners.
